Why do I write reviews?
Most "animation reviewers" on the internet are influenced by the Nostalgia Critic and Mr. Enter. I, on the other hand, was influenced not by YouTube videos, but rather by blogs that do humorous reviews, such as Nothing But Cartoons (which I discovered at some point in the 2010s... I want to say around 2012?) and a now-defunct blog called The Terror of Tiny Toon. After reading these blogs and finding them hilarious, I wanted to write funny reviews and make people laugh as well. Whether or not I've succeeded, I don't know. Plus, one of those blogs has been on hiatus since 2012 and the other was deleted and now can only be found via the Internet Archive. SOMEBODY'S gotta fill the void.
Things I am not going to review:
- Foodfight! (2012)
Reason why: A lot of people have already reviewed it, I don't think I have anything new to bring to the table.
- Fanboy and Chum-Chum
Reason why: Never liked this show, even when it was on, I'd rather not watch it again.
- Planet Sheen
Reason why: Same reason as Fanboy and Chum Chum.
- The Brothers Flub
Reason why: Tried to write a review of it, but the episode I watched wasn't giving me enough joke material.
- Eek! The Cat
Reason why: Same reason as The Brothers Flub.
- Teamo Supremo
Reason why: Same reason as The Brothers Flub and Eek! The Cat.
- The Bubsy pilot
Reason why: Same reason as Foodfight!.
- Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island
Reason why: Never seen a single episode of this show, and I think I'd like to keep it that way.
- Shark Tale (2004)
Reason why: Same reason as Foodfight! and the Bubsy pilot. My recommendation would be to just watch the Cartoon Hero's review of it.
- Dave the Barbarian
Reason why: Sorry, this is one of those cases where I tried to write a review but it just wasn't giving me enough joke material. I agree it's a funny show.
- The Groovenians
Reason why: Same reason as Foodfight!, Shark Tale, and the Bubsy pilot.
- Super Dave: Daredevil For Hire
Reason why: Another cartoon that I tried to write a review of, but the episode gave me very little joke material.
- Happy Feet Two (2011)
Reason why: I tried. Couldn't get enough joke material.
- The Powerpuff Girls Reboot
Reason why: I refuse to watch a single episode of this show out of principle.
- Teen Titans Go!
Reason why: First of all, I try not to review cartoons that are still running. Second of all, I'm really just apathetic to the show at this point - I'm just exhausted by all the hatred it gets online. Maybe it's because I'm not even a huge fan of the original Teen Titans, but I really just don't have it in me to go all Mr. Enter on the show.
- Johnny Test
Reason why: Call me crazy, but I actually like this show despite its flaws. Besides, a lot of people have already reviewed it.
- Rock-a-Doodle (1991)
Reason why: You guessed it - a lot of people have already reviewed it, I've got nothing new to bring to the table.
- Anything made by Video Brinquedo
Reason why: I'm not touching any of these with a ten foot pole.

- Anything made by Dingo Pictures
Reason why: Same reason.
Reason why: Same reason.
Can you review Fix and Foxi and Friends sometime?
ReplyDeleteSorry to burst your bubble, but with the show's inherently foreign nature, none of his reviews mentioning the show in any capacity, and it likely not offering him enough joke material to post a review of it, chances of it appearing on this blog are the size of a gnat (get it? He uploaded a review of the Buzz on Maggie, a show about flies, today? ...No reaction?).
DeleteWell, never say never.
DeleteIn response to your "Why do I write reviews?", I can say with certainty that you have succeeded and then some in making me laugh with your reviews. Even when it comes to opinions on shows or characters I like (Pinkie Pie because her randomness appeals to my broken sense of humor; Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi purely because of Yumi's sarcasm; Kaz because he's such an over-the-top greedy slimeball I can't help but laugh at his antics sometimes), you always find a way to make them funny and engaging in the same vein as Nothing But Cartoons (even if that blog's been effectively dead since 2012). Congrats on your work!
